About us
Welcome to Hot Walls, we are an art and framing urban gallery start-up derived from our original picture framing business acquired in 2014. The business pivoted during lockdown when the lease on our workshop terminated, enabling us to build on our ideas for a branded art café rollout.
A purpose-built new framing studio was constructed in 2022 in order to buy the time to develop the new business plans.
In 2023, our short-term plans were researched and developed via a 6-month NatWest Enterprise Accelerator programme, with the longer-term development opportunities exhibited at VentureFest South, Festival of Innovation. A government-backed YTKO digital marketing bootcamp was completed in March 2024, and in April the business achieved Advance Assurance from HMRC's Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme. Currently, we are processing a regeneration grant application to Ipswich Town Council, in June 2024, for our first Artisan Café in an empty shop on the high street. We believe if this is a success we can look ahead to attracting investors for the national rollout.
